SERBIAN BRUTALISM ARCHITECTURE

A photographic tale of the architectural season of brutalism in Belgrade. Brutalism born in France in 1952 from an idea of Le Corbusier, later spread around the world behind the concepts of concrete, steel and glass. East Europe, during ’70 and ’80, took his idea of architecture, and a lot of city of the Sovietic Bloc – of course, mainly in the Soviet Union – had and have still within them these monuments of an age now lost in ideals, but not at the sight of those who dare to enjoy this “outcast” architecture. All pictures was taken in Belgrade, Serbia.
